Deep Riffs and Sad Steps

Andrew Ford · Feb 15, 2025 ·

Two new pieces will be unveiled in the coming months. Ken Murray will give the first performance of Deep Riffs for electric guitar and loops at Tempo Rubato
in Melbourne on 20 March, and flautist Lina Andonovska will play Sad Steps
for the first time on 2 April at Kaleidoscope Night in Dublin’s Bello Bar. Deep Riffs, commissioned by Murray with financial support from Creative Australia, was very much a collaborative project. Sad Steps seemed to write itself.
