I Sing the Birth, Andrew Ford’s new sequence of Christmas music for treble voices and electric guitar, is a four-way commission from Luminesence Children’s Choir (Canberra), Aquinas College Schola Cantorum (Perth), the Flanders Boys Choir (Antwerp) and the Estonian TV Girls’ Choir (Tallinn). The first three performances will take place in December 2024, beginning in Perth (1 December), then Canberra (14 December) and culminating in the European premiere in Antwerp Cathedral on 22 December. The Estonian premiere will follow in 2025.
